Hey everyone! So here I’m finally going to start writing a little bit about what I have been doing here at GC.
Have been doing a lot of rehearsals for Choral Union concert coming up in the beginning of December – singing Handel’s Messiah. Couple weekends ago, choir got to sing at the Cathedral Basilica in Saint Louis with the Boston Camerata, not too often that we get to perform with an amazing group like that! Last weekend, we had the Presidential Inauguration here at GC – another experience that doesn’t happen too often. Choir performed for that ceremony and also for a concert for the President. Life in general is busy, but has been fun hanging out with friends. Always playing Settlers of Catan (board game) and watching movies and playing Xbox 360. Tonight was great, watched a couple movies: Marnie by Alfred Hitchcock (crazy movie, but good) and Everything is Spiritual by Rob Bell (INCREDIBLE!!! Got to watch it! Beats the NOOMA videos I have seen!). Anyways, tomorrow, I will be going to Saint Louis with some friends through a group called Dirty Roots. They hand out food every Saturday to the homeless, so this will be a cool experience. Also, Sunday morning I will be going with some classmates to Mt. Vernon, IL, to visit a church and get some ideas for a project in our class, presenting data to give to the Free Methodist Church local district of why Mt. Vernon would be an excellent spot to plant a church. Should be fun, and now I’m outta time and I need sleep. Will chat again later! God Bless!
